In the last three years, beef consumption fell by almost 8 percent

In September, the internal consumption of beef reached 47.2 kilos per inhabitant per year, a slight year-on-year increase of 0.8%, but a 7.6% drop compared to the same month in 2019. The low levels of consumption internal are still linked to a lower purchasing power of the population, the growth of alternative meats and changes in diet by the population, according to the latest report from the Chamber of Industry and Commerce of Meat and Derivatives of the Argentine Republic (CICCRA).
