BEEF PRODUCTION IN YUCATAN HAS GROWN IN THE LAST FIVE YEARS AND THE CURRENT DEMAND IS 34 THOUSAND TONS

The Secretary of Rural Development of the state, Jorge Díaz Loeza, highlighted that despite the pandemic, the production of beef in the state in the last five years has registered a significant increase and currently the demand reaches 34 thousand tons in the entity.

Díaz Loeza reported that according to data from the Mexican Meat Council, at the international level, consumption has gone from 53.8 million tons in 2017 to 55.8 million in 2021. For this reason, it is estimated that this year it can exceed 56.2 millions of tons.
