The countryside and the economy facing the challenge of mitigating the impact of the drought in 2023

The year begins with more questions than certainties. The only thing that is clear so far is that the economy will have to face the effects of the drought, which has already reduced the exportable balance of wheat, complicates the corn and soybean campaign -more than that- and has livestock on the verge of a massive liquidation. of the bovine stock. So far, the most discouraging forecasts warn that the drop in dollar income, compared to 2022, could be around US$15 billion. A fact that occupies and worries both the countryside and the Government, but the strength of international prices could provide some relief.
