The consumption of beef decreases and “alternative” meats grow
Argentine: A study carried out by the livestock sector and presented at the Rural Expo, indicated that the consumption of meat reached 118 kg per person in the country and that in total, the five main meats invoice US$24,000 million annually. At the same time, it was pointed out that there was a decrease in the consumption of beef , but that it was compensated in the intake of other cuts. The sector considers that this is a moment of consumption of “alternative” meats.
