Refrigerators warn that the distribution in half carcass favors the contamination of the meat

After the appearance of four cases of poisoning due to consumption of meat and/or derivatives in the province of Buenos Aires, two of which were fatal, the ABC Consortium, which brings together the largest refrigerators in Argentina, came out to reiterate its request for implementation definitive marketing of meat in pieces and no longer in half carcasses to avoid risks of contamination of the product.

The statement issued by the Province last Thursday reported on a suspected outbreak of food origin in the municipality of Berazategui, under investigation, following the admission of four people with acute diarrhea caused by pathogenic bacteria after consuming meat and derivatives.
