Ranchers from Aguascalientes join the amparo to prohibit the importation of Argentine beef

Ranchers in Aguascalientes joined the amparo filed on December 8 by the Chihuahua Regional Livestock Union, in order to prohibit the importation of Argentine beef, arguing that it poses a health risk.

In the Hidrocálida Regional Livestock Union, they recalled that the purchase of these products had already been suspended in 2001 by the Mexican authorities, when an outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease was detected in the South American country.
