Mexico increases more than 2.5 percent meat imports

The report of the Agricultural Market Consulting Group (GCMA) indicated that Mexico spent 3,096 million dollars to bring pork, beef and chicken from abroad, which in year-on-year terms represented an increase of around 9.2%. Despite the general increase during the set of months, only pork meat acquisitions registered an increase, reaching 1.05 mt., exceeding by 10.8% what was registered in 2021; its value rose 16.1 percent, with 2,102.5 million dollars.
