Low price of export cattle after decrease in meat consumption in Mexico and the US

Due to the decrease in meat consumption, both in Mexico and in the United States, the prices of cattle for export are falling and are expected to continue like this during the next four months, affirmed Manuel Balderrama, president of the Saucillo Livestock Association. Calf prices have contracted and an increase is not in sight, at least in the short term, said Manuel Balderrama, who pointed out that the economy on both sides of the border is weakened and therefore the demand for calves has decreased.
