FTA with South Korea would improve Mexican economy

Bruno Figueroa Fischer , Mexico’s ambassador to South Korea, gave the keynote videoconference “Epilogue: The new dimensions of relations between Mexico and Korea”, as part of the X International Academic Conference on Korea organized by the University of Colima , and in the one that shared how the relationship between Mexico and Korea has grown in the 60 years that they have been an official relationship.

One of the main objectives, the ambassador continued, “is to finalize a Free Trade Agreement (FTA), for which negotiations will resume in March 2022.” Said treaty will allow, according to Figueroa Fischer, to reduce tariff and non-tariff barriers, as well as increase exports of Mexican agricultural products to Korea.
