Ecuador expects trade agreement with Mexico in a month

Ecuador hopes to close a trade agreement with Mexico that would open the doors to the Pacific Alliance before the end of next month, when Ecuadorian President Guillermo Lasso travels to Mexico to meet with the leaders from that country, Colombia and Chile, among others, Ecuadorian officials said Monday. Among the products that could benefit are fruits, wood, metals, meat and fish in which Ecuador has a competitive advantage, but also among the imported products that Ecuadorians will benefit from due to their cheaper prices are vehicles, food for animals, machinery and pharmaceutical products, among others.
