Chile lowered the volume and average value of beef imports in October

As usually happens after the national holidays in mid-September, the volumes of beef imported by Chile fell in October, but on this occasion the average import value also did, in line with what is happening with the prices of the product in the international market.According to information from Odepa, in October Chile imported 16,306 tons at an average value of US$5,625 per ton. Volume was 21.5% lower than the previous month, while the average value contracted 2.4% in the month and 12% compared to the June peak.
