Cattle exports from Mexico to the United States fall

According to Opportimes, “ Mexico registered a year-on-year drop of 36.7% in its exports of calves and heifers to the United States from January to June 2022 to 394,565 heads ”, its main market. For its part, the US only receives live cattle from another country besides Mexico: Canada.

The media clarified that ” Mexican cattle exports fluctuate seasonally, depending on weather conditions and the availability of forage for grazing .”
