Brazil’s corn exports soar 221%, boosted by Ukraine’s absence

Brazil’s corn exports through southern ports in the state of Paraná have continued to exceed expectations, with shipments up 221% in the first half of the year, amid the Ukraine’s absence from the market.

According to a statement from the Paranaguá port authority on Monday, the increase in corn export volume was made possible as demand picked up at a time when Brazil still had plenty of its summer corn crop to offer.
