Bovine and buffalo slaughter falls according to data until November 2022

The slaughter of bovines continued its downward trend one month before the end of 2022, with a drop of 6.1% compared to 2021 and one of 9.2% compared to 2019. Throughout this year, the benefit with destination for export was the hardest hit, with a decrease of more than 30%.

According to the Livestock Slaughter Survey of the National Administrative Department of Statistics (DANE), in the eleventh month of 2022 , 261,308 head of cattle were benefited , as well as 3,697 head of buffalo cattle , for a total of 265,005 animals.
